How it works

LIKEM is built for adults in Sweden who want real, local connections without handing over their privacy. Here is exactly how that works.

Reviewed members

Members submit a selfie for human review before appearing in Nearby. Verification media is stored privately, is never visible to other members, and is only accessible to authorised moderators. A retention deadline is recorded for every submission so media is not kept indefinitely. This is a platform review, not government-ID or legal age verification: we track age attestation, email or phone confirmation, and selfie review as separate states.

Location privacy

We ask for your browser location once and store it coarsened to roughly 100 metres. Other members only ever see an approximate band such as “under 1 km”, “~3 km” or “50+ km away” — never your exact address, coordinates or a map pin.

Availability windows

Choose when you're open to meeting. Availability lasts 30, 60, 120 or 180 minutes and then expires automatically. You can end it at any time, and you can hide from discovery entirely from your account settings.

Consent-first contact

You can only message someone after both people express interest. Private photos require an explicit, revocable permission grant. Unmatching closes the conversation for both sides.

Blocking and reporting

Blocking is instant and mutual: blocked members disappear from discovery, cannot send interest, and cannot see your profile. Reports go to a moderation queue with categories for harassment, threats, non-consensual content, underage concerns and exploitation.

Safety & community rules

Sexual exploitation, trafficking, commercial sexual solicitation, non-consensual content, and anything involving minors are prohibited. Reports are reviewed by moderators and may be escalated where required.

Your data

You can delete your account at any time from Account settings. Deletion removes your profile, photos, availability, location, interests and messages from active use immediately.

In immediate danger call 112. For non-emergency police matters in Sweden call 114 14.
